These fine and scarce copperplate engravings appeared in 'Recueil de Planches...' Published in Paris, France & Liege, Belgium in 1785.

They are a truly fascinating record of industrial and commercial processes towards the end of the 18th century & the machinery, the tools and equipment used.
The artists were under the direction of Monsieur Benard
