ADVERTS - Food. Wines. Whiskey.(Whisky). Etc Collectible old adverts. related to eating and drinking. Ideal items for framing, particularly for the kitchen or for bar, restaurant or hotel decoration.
BIRDS - John and Elizabeth GOULD - Gould's prodigious life-time work resulted in nearly 3000 superb large plates of birds and mamals. From the Birds of Europe published in the 1830's to 1888, printed postumously. Here you will find some example scanned images of these scarce & highly prized lithographs.
BIRDS - Rev Francis Orpen MORRIS The History of British Birds is perhaps an 'industry standard' work. It contained, in the later editions, some 400 fine hand coloured prints. BIRDS - Charles Robert Bree - History of the Birds of Europe. Hand coloured plates. c 1859/75. Similar in format to those by Rev Morris, but scarcer. Scans. Links etc.
BUTTERFLIES - Rev Francis Orpen MORRIS - The 72 attractive plates, all in original colour, are listed. Scans of several examples. 1st Edition was issued in 1853. There are later editions.

HOWITT Samuel (1756-1822) - A celebrated artist of old Sporting Prints. Fox hunting, dogs such as greyhounds, lurchers & others, etc. This page includes some 11 scanned images and links to principal collections of his works.
