Alexander George was the son of Alexander Findlay (1790-1870) who also worked in London as an engraver.
A.G. Findlay was a geographer and engraver, who also published maps on his own account. He took over the Laurie and Whittle business in the late 1850's.
THE MAPS APPEARING IN THE ATLAS WERE :-
My name is Julie Bennett and I recently retired
to the Bahamas after a career in
education in England.
Jacques Bossuet (1627 - 1704),
the French Bishop & author, wrote that Geography is one of the

historical maps & engravings, that before emigrating, it became my
hobby to offer
antiquarian
items on eBay & I have decided to resume, hoping to make yet more new
friends.
