Along the River Thames the sheet shows Shot Tower Wharf, Commercial Wharf, Phoenix Wharf, Bowater's Wharf, Thorne Wharf, Moore's Wharf and Prince's Wharf. The name Shot Tower Wharf recalls the square shot tower built east of Waterloo Bridge soon after 1782. A later coloured revision shows these plots cleared for the London Weekend Television centre, which was under construction in March 1971. The centre opened in 1972, and ITV closed it on 30 April 2018. Demolition began in January 2025, and an office scheme is planned there for 2029. Outline editions were made for fire-risk assessment, and they give footprints and plot divisions rather than occupancies. Goad kept these plans current with pasted slips recording new uses, altered layouts, demolition and rebuilding. The sheet bears a December 1925 reprint date, and although pasted revisions are present, no correction on it carries a date. Key plans acquired with the group were corrected as late as March 1971. Stores and garages on the sheet show that, at the time, industry carried on beside the redevelopment. Associated Newspapers' printing works, paper store and garage stood here, and so did the Boots Pure Drug Co. warehouses at the Cornwall Road corner of Stamford Street, which were demolished in 1985. These working plans were made to assess property and fire risk, and they were kept current with pasted slips recording new uses, altered layouts, demolition and rebuilding. Rebuilt in 1928–29 for the makers of Oxo, with tower windows that spell the name, the building appears here as the Union International cold stores. Coin Street Community Builders reopened it in 1996 with homes, designer-maker studios, shops and restaurants in place of bulk storage. The sheet shows Gabriel's Wharf and Nelson's Wharf adjoining it on the River Thames. The London Nautical School, founded in 1915, still teaches at 61 Stamford Street, and the sheet maps its gymnasium and playgrounds. These working plans were made to assess property and fire risk, and they were kept current with pasted slips recording changes of use, altered layouts, demolition and rebuilding. Nelson's Wharf, Old Barge House Wharf, Robin's Wharf and Old Jamaica Wharf then lay alongside it on the River Thames, and the sheet draws a chapel outline inland. Gabriel's Wharf stood on the derelict thirteen-acre Coin Street site, which Coin Street Community Builders bought from the Greater London Council in 1984. Their designer studios and shops opened there in 1988, marking the turn from riverside goods handling to small creative businesses and visitors. That residency ran from 1963 until the company's South Bank building opened in 1976. Roupell Street's terraces were built from the 1820s and have been protected since 1976. The sheet shows them near the Peabody Buildings, the Ipsden Buildings artizans' dwellings, St Andrew's Church and School, and Christ Church, which was rebuilt in 1958–59 after the Blitz. The sheet also shows Southwark College, the Wootton Street day nursery and the I.P.C. Business Press premises close by, and IPC itself dated from 1963. Car parks, a park, prefabricated dwellings and open ground then filled the gaps, while large blocks drawn on the enlarged sheet 264B are left blank here. The National Theatre Board rehearsal rooms here served the company then resident at the Old Vic, five years before its South Bank theatre opened in 1976. A J.
