Issued by the departmental fishing federation, it connects the river network with hotels, restaurants, caves and viewpoints for a longer stay in the district. At Les Milandes, the accommodation and restaurant symbols probably refer to the tourist complex created by Joséphine Baker and her husband Jo Bouillon, inaugurated in September 1949. Their “Village du Monde” combined hotels, restaurants and entertainment with Baker’s ideal of international fraternity, giving this angling map an unexpected connection to the celebrated performer. Lascaux is also marked as an attraction, consistent with the period before the original cave closed to ordinary public visits in 1963. These clues suggest a 1950s publication, provisionally c.1955 within an estimated 1949–1963 range; an unchanged later reprint cannot be excluded.
