Behind them loom grey silhouettes of four of the town's largest buildings, Addenbrooke's Hospital, the University Arms Hotel, the Fitzwilliam Museum and the Guildhall, placed there to show how far they exceeded the scale of an ordinary street. The south side of Petty Cury was redeveloped for Lion Yard in the 1970s, and Addenbrooke's left its Trumpington Street building in 1976, so the sheet is both a clever piece of planning graphics and a record of a changing centre.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0923/9583/1643/files/P-7-028566a_f7e8538b-a553-4784-9b56-1db846b0bab1.jpg?v=1792148879
