Drawn and engraved by J. \u0026amp; C. Walker, it is Lubbock’s original chart later cited and critically reassessed by William Whewell—not Whewell’s revised 1833 cotidal map. Lubbock compiled the chart from surveys and observations by M’Kenzie, Spence, Murray, Hewett, Thomas, Huddart, White and Nimmo, together with Admiralty charts.
