Between Roclincourt and Thélus the German defences spread across the sheet in red, trench by named trench, with their wire, saps and strongpoints, while the British front line is traced in blue and the villages of Neuville-St-Vaast, La Targette, Écurie, Farbus and Willerval sit among the contours. Corrected to 10 April 1916, it shows the ground as the British took it over from the French that spring, the ground across which Canadian and British troops attacked on 9 April 1917. The large scale makes it one of the most legible of the Arras-sector sheets for tracing a unit or a relative.
