The Central Electricity Generating Board offices then filled much of it, but the Board was broken up in 1990. Its blocks gave way to the Paternoster Square of 2003, with the London Stock Exchange, offices, shops and restaurants, and this was a second rebuilding in the cathedral's setting. Stationers' Hall of 1673 remains the Company's home, and St Martin Ludgate Church and the Amen Court canonry survive. Hodder \u0026amp; Stoughton, marked on the sheet, recall the publishers of Paternoster Row, five million of whose books burned in 1940. The Old Bailey extension, shown under construction in November 1970 near the St Paul's Cathedral west front and Music School, was finished in 1972. The plan was made for fire-risk assessment and corrected by pasted overlays recording new uses, altered layouts and rebuilding, and November 1970 is its latest dated correction. It was resurveyed and reissued in November 1962, with a 1962 copyright date, and the key plans acquired with it carry corrections as late as October 1970 and March 1971. Car parks north of the cathedral and a bank-and-office development beside Cheapside are shown under construction in December 1969, so the sheet holds the redevelopment at an intermediate stage. The Central Electricity Generating Board offices, meanwhile, belonged to an earlier Paternoster Square, which was rebuilt again and reopened in 2003 with the London Stock Exchange among its offices and shops. The St Paul's Cathedral Choir School, in its New Change buildings of the 1960s, still trains the cathedral's boy choristers, who have been joined by girls since September 2025. The City information centre was rehoused in 2007, while St Paul's itself remains the sheet's fixed landmark.
