Along the River Thames the sheet shows Shot Tower Wharf, Commercial Wharf, Phoenix Wharf, Bowater's Wharf, Thorne Wharf, Moore's Wharf and Prince's Wharf. The name Shot Tower Wharf recalls the square shot tower built east of Waterloo Bridge soon after 1782. A later coloured revision shows these plots cleared for the London Weekend Television centre, which was under construction in March 1971. The centre opened in 1972, and ITV closed it on 30 April 2018. Demolition began in January 2025, and an office scheme is planned there for 2029. Outline editions were made for fire-risk assessment, and they give footprints and plot divisions rather than occupancies. Goad kept these plans current with pasted slips recording new uses, altered layouts, demolition and rebuilding. The sheet bears a December 1925 reprint date, and although pasted revisions are present, no correction on it carries a date. Key plans acquired with the group were corrected as late as March 1971. It offers a direct comparison between Bankside's electricity-generating past and its present cultural role. Giles Gilbert Scott's building, which was designed for coal but built to burn oil, went up in two campaigns, in 1947–52 and 1958–63, and stopped generating in 1981. The St Christopher House outline marks the government office block of 1959, which has since been replaced by Bankside 1 2 3. Willow Wharf, Royal George Wharf, Queen's Wharf, Sunderland Wharf, Rose's Wharf, Crown Wharf, Travers Wharf and Phoenix Wharf then lined the River Thames. Outline editions were made for fire-risk assessment, and they give footprints and plot divisions rather than occupancies. The later coloured revisions, which were kept current with pasted slips, detail the boiler and turbine houses, the chimney and the oil storage. This outline edition was reissued in February 1950, and although pasted revisions are present, no correction on it carries a date. The key plans acquired with the group carry corrections as late as March 1971. Regent's Park Basin runs through the sheet, with Chester Wharf, Northampton Wharf, Phoenix Wharf, Western Wharf and Grimble and Company vinegar works along its edge, where housing now predominates. The basin was drained in 1938 and filled with bomb rubble in 1941–42, and it has disappeared beneath allotments and open space, though its long, narrow shape stays legible in the estate layout. The sheet also shows Regent's Park Barracks, Christ Church and Christ Church Schools on adjoining ground. Outline editions such as this carry footprints and plot divisions with less occupancy and risk detail than the coloured plans. Insurers used those coloured plans to price fire risk, and the plans were kept current by overlays recording changed uses, altered layouts, demolition and new building. Later coloured revisions record housing on the former basin corridor, including Camberley House in place of older plots near Redhill Place. The printed base heading is dated March 1891, and a South London key plan from the same group records corrections to March 1971.
