Regent's Park Basin runs through the sheet, with Chester Wharf, Northampton Wharf, Phoenix Wharf, Western Wharf and Grimble and Company vinegar works along its edge, where housing now predominates. The basin was drained in 1938 and filled with bomb rubble in 1941–42, and it has disappeared beneath allotments and open space, though its long, narrow shape stays legible in the estate layout. The sheet also shows Regent's Park Barracks, Christ Church and Christ Church Schools on adjoining ground. Outline editions such as this carry footprints and plot divisions with less occupancy and risk detail than the coloured plans. Insurers used those coloured plans to price fire risk, and the plans were kept current by overlays recording changed uses, altered layouts, demolition and new building. Later coloured revisions record housing on the former basin corridor, including Camberley House in place of older plots near Redhill Place. The printed base heading is dated March 1891, and a South London key plan from the same group records corrections to March 1971.
