TITLE OF MAP (NOT PRINTED ON THE PAGE):'Colton's Minnesota and Dakota'

The map shows Dakota Territory as it was in 1863. It was divided into two and admitted to the Uniion as the 39th and 40th states of North and South Dakota in 1889.
