Surrounding properties and streets, including Basinghall Street and Aldermanbury, give the sheet broader value as a record of the City’s historic civic centre. The plan was issued as Plate V in John Edward Price’s lavish A Descriptive Account of the Guildhall of the City of London: Its History and Associations, published under Corporation authority in 1886, and was photolithographed by W.
