Jewellery workshops, engraving and photo-lithographic printing then packed the premises around Hatton Garden and Saffron Hill. This was the production behind the shopfronts, in a district where jewellery making and dealing still underpin the local economy. St Etheldreda's Church, the Bishops of Ely's chapel of the 1280s, has been Catholic again since 1874, and Ely Place remains gated and watched by its own beadle. Dickens housed the Plornishes in Bleeding Heart Yard and Fagin in Field Lane below Saffron Hill, where the former Punch printworks is now flats. The Atlantic House name survives on Holborn Viaduct as Hogan Lovells' London office, and the sheet also marks a GPO garage. Goad's plans were kept for assessing property and fire risk, and they were updated with pasted overlays recording changes of use, altered layouts, demolition and rebuilding. The sheet was resurveyed and reissued in April 1950, with a 1950 copyright date. Its latest dated correction is September 1969, and key plans acquired with the group were corrected as late as October 1970 and March 1971. Other streets on the sheet include Greville Street, Kirby Street, Farringdon Road, Charterhouse Street, Holborn Circus and Shoe Lane.

Charles Goad Insurance Plan of London, sheet 61 [Lime Street, Fenchurch Street, Leadenhall Street and Lloyd's]

Goad's fire insurance plan of London, sheet 61, covers Lime Street, Fenchurch Street and Cullum Street (EC3) and records the insurance quarter as it stood before the towers. The sheet shows the Corporation of Lloyd's in relatively new premises, opened in 1958, on the east side of Lime Street. They gave way to Foster's Willis Building of 2008, which today preserves the insurance connection on a much larger scale. Prudential House, shown at the Leadenhall Street corner, made way for the Scalpel tower, completed in 2018. The block between Fenchurch Avenue and Billiter Street is now One Fen Court, whose free roof garden opened in 2019. The sheet also names Baltic House, Atlantic House and the offices of Commercial Union, Eagle Star and Royal Insurance, which have since merged into Aviva, Zurich and Royal & Sun Alliance respectively. The plans were made to assess property and fire risk, and they were kept current with pasted overlays recording new uses, altered layouts, demolition and rebuilding. The latest dated correction, from August 1969, is a vacancy note at 36–37 Leadenhall Street.
