It covers the classic Burgundy belt running from Dijon south through Gevrey-Chambertin, Chambolle-Musigny, Vougeot, Vosne-Romanée, Nuits-Saint-Georges, Beaune, Pommard, Volnay, Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet, and Santenay. The map depicts communes, roads, railways, and vineyard localities arranged in a single vertical band for ease of comparison along the côte. No institutional examples have been located bearing the Cretin-Pellion imprint; recorded examples are held only at the Bibliothèque nationale de France (Gallica) and the State Library of Victoria, both with the Damongeot-Pelletier, Beaune imprint and apparently representing the same issue. Vineyard classification is indicated by hand colour, following Jules Lavalle’s foundational 1855 hierarchy: Têtes de cuvées (mauve), Premières cuvées (red), Secondes cuvées (yellow), and Troisièmes cuvées (green).
