Red Cross Way holds Octavia Hill's Red Cross Garden of 1887, which was restored in 2005. Reissued in December 1946, this outline records streets, building footprints and plot divisions with less occupancy and risk detail than the coloured plans. It keeps the small courts and warehouse plots around St Joseph's Roman Catholic School, while later coloured revisions record an enlarged school with open grounds and Babington House flats. The sheet also names Stanhope Buildings, Mowbray Buildings, Douglas Buildings, Brent's Court and Vine Yard. Goad's working plans were made to weigh property and fire risk, and they were amended with pasted overlays as uses changed and buildings were replaced. No later pasted corrections have been identified on this outline edition, and the key plan acquired with the group records corrections to March 1971. On this sheet, the enlarged school, its open grounds and Babington House flats replace part of the earlier pattern of small courts and warehouses.
