The sheet combines the coach elevation with roof, floor and underside plans, construction details, bogie and coach sections, and instructions for cast ends, lithographed paper sides, celluloid glazing, ventilation, solebars, battery boxes, dynamo and vacuum brake. Drawn at 4 mm to the foot and dated 16 January 1948, it was intended for use with Hambling-Merco lithographed papers and records the mixed-media methods—card, paper, celluloid, cast metal and soldered brass—used by skilled model railway builders immediately after the war. It documents both the appearance of an LMS Period III flush-sided coach and the workshop culture of early OO-gauge modelling. Strong white lines against the deep blue ground also give the technical sheet considerable decorative appeal.

'L.M.S. 3rd Class Steel Flush Sided Vestibule Coach — Constructional Blue Print for use with Hambling-Merco Litho Papers'

A complete miniature railway coach takes shape in this Hamblings construction blueprint, which sets out an LMS third-class vestibule vehicle through side elevations, roof and floor plans, bogie details and a cross-section. The notes explain how lithographed paper sides, celluloid glazing and other components should be assembled, preserving the practical language of post-war model making. Dated 8 January 1948, the drawing is full size for an 00-gauge model at four millimetres to the foot, not a full-size engineering drawing of the real coach. White linework against the cyanotype blue gives this working hobby sheet a strong visual character.
