The sheet shows Lloyd's in Edwin Cooper's building of 1928 at the Leadenhall Street corner. That building was demolished to make way for Richard Rogers' inside-out building of 1978–86, and only Cooper's entrance survives. Horace Jones's market of 1881 is shown as meat and fish premises, in contrast to the shops, bars and restaurants now in its Victorian arcades. The market has undergone a change of activity within surviving buildings, rather than the wholesale rebuilding seen elsewhere in the City. The same arcades stood in for the streets around the Leaky Cauldron in the first Harry Potter film. Royal Mail House, Lloyds Bank and a Barclays Bank construction site are also named on the sheet. Insurers judged property and fire risk from these plans, which were kept current with pasted slips recording new uses, altered layouts, demolition and rebuilding. The latest dated correction on this sheet is August 1969. The sheet was resurveyed and reissued in August 1945, with a 1949 copyright date, and the key plans acquired with it carry corrections as late as October 1970 and March 1971. Other streets on the sheet include Gracechurch Street, Fenchurch Street and Whittington Avenue.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0923/9583/1643/files/P-9-001120a_229dc84c-ff47-4074-b5d4-e576cc87903b.jpg?v=1792149025
goad-london-61-ec3-lloyd-s-lime-leadenhall-fenchurch-streets-1953-1969-map-p-9-001121
Goad London 61—EC3—Lloyd's—Lime, Leadenhall & Fenchurch Streets 1953 (1969) map

Charles Goad Insurance Plan of London, sheet 61 [Lime Street, Fenchurch Street, Leadenhall Street and Lloyd's]

Goad's fire insurance plan of London, sheet 61, covers Lime Street, Fenchurch Street and Cullum Street (EC3) and records the insurance quarter as it stood before the towers. The sheet shows the Corporation of Lloyd's in relatively new premises, opened in 1958, on the east side of Lime Street. They gave way to Foster's Willis Building of 2008, which today preserves the insurance connection on a much larger scale. Prudential House, shown at the Leadenhall Street corner, made way for the Scalpel tower, completed in 2018. The block between Fenchurch Avenue and Billiter Street is now One Fen Court, whose free roof garden opened in 2019. The sheet also names Baltic House, Atlantic House and the offices of Commercial Union, Eagle Star and Royal Insurance, which have since merged into Aviva, Zurich and Royal & Sun Alliance respectively. The plans were made to assess property and fire risk, and they were kept current with pasted overlays recording new uses, altered layouts, demolition and rebuilding. The latest dated correction, from August 1969, is a vacancy note at 36–37 Leadenhall Street. The sheet was resurveyed and reissued in August 1953, with a 1953 copyright date, and key plans acquired with the group were corrected as late as October 1970 and March 1971.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0923/9583/1643/files/P-9-001121a_57e618e2-8baf-4cb1-bac4-d5a93c9a909d.jpg?v=1792149030
