Car parks north of the cathedral and a bank-and-office development beside Cheapside are shown under construction in December 1969, so the sheet holds the redevelopment at an intermediate stage. The Central Electricity Generating Board offices, meanwhile, belonged to an earlier Paternoster Square, which was rebuilt again and reopened in 2003 with the London Stock Exchange among its offices and shops. The St Paul's Cathedral Choir School, in its New Change buildings of the 1960s, still trains the cathedral's boy choristers, who have been joined by girls since September 2025. The City information centre was rehoused in 2007, while St Paul's itself remains the sheet's fixed landmark. The plan was compiled to price fire risk and revised with pasted overlays recording new uses, altered layouts, demolition and new building, and December 1969 is its latest dated correction. The sheet was resurveyed and reissued in November 1962, with a 1962 copyright date, and the key plans acquired with the group were corrected as late as October 1970 and March 1971. Other streets on the sheet include St Paul's Churchyard, Ludgate Hill, Newgate Street, Cannon Street, Carter Lane and Godliman Street.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0923/9583/1643/files/P-9-001178a_8ecf6bd1-348f-4450-bae8-108c13ca9ec3.jpg?v=1792149169
goad-london-11-ec4-cheapside-bank-of-england-offices-new-change-1956-c1970-map-p-9-001179
Goad London 11—EC4—Cheapside—Bank of England offices—New Change 1956 (c1970) map

Charles Goad Insurance Plan of London, sheet 11 [Cheapside, New Change, Watling Street and the Bank of England offices — later copy]

Goad's fire insurance plan of London, sheet 11, covers Cheapside and New Change (EC4) and shows the Bank of England's extensive New Change offices filling the One New Change block. The Bank's offices came down in 2007, and Jean Nouvel's replacement, opened in 2010, combines offices with shops, restaurants and a public rooftop terrace beside St Paul's. The St Paul's Cathedral Choir School of 1967 incorporates the surviving Wren tower of St Augustine's. The Royal Exchange Assurance offices on the sheet recall an insurer of 1720 that was absorbed into Guardian Royal Exchange in 1968 and into AXA in 1999. The sheet also names Gateway House, Wiggins Teape and Lloyds Bank. This reissue supersedes the edition of November 1933, marked "obsolete", which records Bank of England buildings and Gateway House under construction in November 1955. Here the sheet shows the consolidated complex and altered streets in place of the earlier warehouses. The plan was produced to assess fire risk, and it carries pasted revisions recording changes of use, altered layouts, demolition and new building, although no individual correction carries a date. The sheet was resurveyed and reissued in November 1956, with a 1956 copyright date, and it belongs to a group whose key plans were still being corrected in October 1970 and March 1971.
