BIGOT was a secrecy classification above Top Secret: only those on the 'Bigot list', cleared to know an invasion's time and place, could see them. At 1:25,000 it covers the peninsula's western side, from Cavalaire Bay and Cap Lardier to Gassin and Ramatuelle, overprinted in red with German batteries, minefields and wire as of 20 July 1944, and the approaches to Alpha Red Beach, where the US 3rd Infantry Division landed. The verso, Panoramic Beach Sketch P-2, adds a beach panorama and an oblique view of the coast, including Pampelonne and Saint-Tropez itself.
