The Bank's offices came down in 2007, and Jean Nouvel's replacement, opened in 2010, combines offices with shops, restaurants and a public rooftop terrace beside St Paul's. The St Paul's Cathedral Choir School of 1967 incorporates the surviving Wren tower of St Augustine's. The Royal Exchange Assurance offices on the sheet recall an insurer of 1720 that was absorbed into Guardian Royal Exchange in 1968 and into AXA in 1999. The sheet also names Gateway House, Wiggins Teape and Lloyds Bank. This reissue supersedes the edition of November 1933, marked "obsolete", which records Bank of England buildings and Gateway House under construction in November 1955. Here the sheet shows the consolidated complex and altered streets in place of the earlier warehouses. The plan was produced to assess fire risk, and it carries pasted revisions recording changes of use, altered layouts, demolition and new building, although no individual correction carries a date. The sheet was resurveyed and reissued in November 1956, with a 1956 copyright date, and it belongs to a group whose key plans were still being corrected in October 1970 and March 1971. Beneath the clearance notices, the textile and clothing warehouses on the sheet preserve the trading character of Old Change and Friday Street. They were replaced by the Bank of England complex in a shift from merchandise to offices. That complex has itself gone, demolished in 2007 for One New Change, so this ground has been cleared twice over. The Church of St Augustine with St Faith was bombed in 1941 and never rebuilt, but its Wren tower survives in the St Paul's Cathedral Choir School of 1967. The sheet also names St Matthew's Churchyard, the Sun Life Assurance Society offices and the Information Bureau. It records the cleared Bank of England site under construction and Gateway House being built, while the replacement edition maps the consolidated New Change complex over these streets and plots. The plan was made to assess fire risk, and it carries pasted overlays recording new uses, altered layouts and rebuilding. The sheet was reissued in November 1933, with a 1949 copyright date. Its latest dated correction is November 1955, and the replacement's reissue in November 1956 places the end of its regular updating at about 1956. St Mary-le-Bow was burnt out in May 1941 and rebuilt to Wren's design in 1956–64, with its bells rehung in 1961, while Wren's Gothic St Mary Aldermary now holds a café. On the sheet, fur and woollen premises at Watling Court and tea-blending in Watling House show that commodity trades were still handling goods among the banks and insurance offices. Among them were the Yorkshire Bank, since rebranded Virgin Money, and the National Mutual Life Assurance offices in Bow Churchyard. National Mutual Life Assurance was Keynes's old society, and it was sold to GE Capital in 2002. Bow Bells House was rebuilt in 2007, and the sheet also names Cheyne House and Aldermary House. The plan was drawn for fire-risk assessment and kept current with pasted overlays recording changes of use, altered layouts, demolition and rebuilding. This copy preserves the close-packed plots of Budge Row, Sise Lane and Tower Royal that Bucklersbury House swept away. Its final overlays, dated November 1955, record the clearance for Bucklersbury House and the Bank of London & South America under construction. The cleared building site on the sheet is where the Temple of Mithras was found in September 1954. The replacement edition of November 1956 maps the consolidated offices and, later, the reconstructed temple, which is now back on its original site beneath Bloomberg's European headquarters. The National Safe Deposit and the Bank of New Zealand shared the 1873 building on Queen Victoria Street that is now the City of London Magistrates' Court. The sheet also names Mappin & Webb silversmiths, Simpson's Restaurant and Barclays Bank. The Mappin & Webb building was demolished in 1994 to make way for No 1 Poultry. The plan was compiled for fire-risk assessment and updated with pasted slips recording changes of use, altered layouts, demolition and rebuilding. This sheet was reissued in November 1935, with a 1949 copyright date. Its latest dated correction is November 1955, and the replacement edition's 1956 reissue places the end of its regular updating at about 1956.
