In the sheet's day, the John Harvard Secondary Boys School here honoured the Southwark butcher's son, baptised in 1607, who gave Harvard University its name. This outline was reissued in November 1952, and it records streets, building footprints and plot divisions with less occupancy and risk detail than the coloured plans. The school premises and earlier plots survive on this outline, while later coloured revisions record educational and postal uses, further clearance and the large printing, binding and garage premises of H.M. Stationery Office. Its publishing arm became The Stationery Office in 1996. The sheet also names Grotto Court and the Southern Region Railway approaches. Goad's sheets were working documents for weighing property and fire risk, and they were amended with pasted overlays whenever uses changed or buildings were replaced. No later pasted building corrections have been identified on this outline edition, and the key plan acquired with the group records corrections to March 1971.
