Here the sheet preserves that vanished City terminus, Holborn Viaduct Station, with the Southern Region railway garages and repair spaces beneath its railway. The station closed in 1990 as Thameslink's replacement route and underground station transformed this approach to the commercial centre. The Central Criminal Court still sits, extended by its South Block of 1968 to 1972. St Sepulchre's Church, the City's largest parish church, survives too, as does Cutlers' Hall of 1888 on Warwick Lane. The sheet also names Terminus Chambers and the wine and spirit vaults beneath Holborn Viaduct. Goad's working plans were prepared for property and fire-risk assessment, and they carried pasted overlays recording new uses, altered layouts, demolition and new building. The latest dated corrections on this sheet are three vacancy annotations dated September 1969, two between Turnagain Lane and Newcastle Close and one at 23-24 Old Bailey. The sheet was resurveyed and reissued in February 1960, with a 1960 copyright date, and the key plans acquired with it carry corrections as late as October 1970 and March 1971.
