The sheet extends from the Guadalquivir estuary and Sanlúcar de Barrameda south to Cádiz, San Fernando and Chiclana, centred on Jerez and El Puerto de Santa María. Patterned yellow and brown tints distinguish the chalky albariza soils from the heavier barros and sandy arenas; trilingual keys name the principal production districts and their characteristic wines, including finos, olorosos, amontillados, manzanillas and moscatels. Roads, rivers, vineyard pagos, wine-glass devices, a bold compass rose and a Spain locator inset complete the design.
