Oil derricks, coffee cups, coconut halves and gold discs fill Malaya, Sumatra, Borneo, Java, the Philippines and New Guinea, while blue fish swim through bands of stylised waves. The key runs from oil, tin, rubber and rice to bauxite, manganese, copra, sugar, spices and timber, and includes cinchona, the source of quinine: Java then grew most of the world’s supply, and its loss left the Allies scrambling for substitutes. It appeared as a double-page spread in Shūkan Asahi’s Singapore special issue. We have found no other example offered by a Western dealer.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Antiquemapsandprints.com","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":54274891579739,"sku":"P-7-028491","price":160.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0923\/9583\/1643\/files\/P-7-028491a.jpg?v=1791486042","url":"https:\/\/www.antiquemapsandprints.com\/fr\/products\/ww2-pacific-war-southeast-asia-japanese-pictorial-resources-map-asahi-1942-p-7-028491","provider":"Antiquemapsandprints.com","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
