TITLE/CONTENT OF MAP: 'London Underground Transport - Railway Map No 2. 1935'

This edition of the Beck diagram shows an alteration to the name of Park Royal Station with the addition of (Hanger Hill). The map includes the "Middle Circle", an underground train line using the West London Railway between Latimer Road and Earls Court, passing through Uxbridge Road and Addison Road. The line closed in 1940 following bomb damage. It was not reopened until 2008 as part of the Overground network.

TYPE: Vintage diagram of lines pocket map issued by London Transport

CONDITION: Fair: Wear to top and bottom of folds in margin. "New projected tube 1955" has been written in ink, along with a dotted lines connecting Piccadilly Circus, Victoria and southwards across the river - possibly a reference to part of the Victoria Line, opened in 1968. The first proposal for this railway was published in 1943. Please note any other blemishes on the scan prior to purchasing this picture.
