The centre is shown rising over the warehouse plots of Shot Tower Wharf, Commercial Wharf, Bowater's Wharf, Thorne Wharf, Moore's Wharf and Prince's Wharf on the River Thames. The studios opened in 1972 and broadcast until ITV closed them on 30 April 2018. Demolition began in January 2025, and an office scheme is planned there for 2029. Stores and garages on the sheet show that, at the time, industry carried on beside the redevelopment. Associated Newspapers' printing works, paper store and garage stood here, and so did the Boots Pure Drug Co. warehouses at the Cornwall Road corner of Stamford Street, which were demolished in 1985. These working plans were made to assess property and fire risk, and they were kept current with pasted slips recording new uses, altered layouts, demolition and rebuilding. The sheet bears a December 1925 reprint date and a 1950 copyright date, and the latest dated correction identified on it is March 1971. The key plans acquired with it were still being corrected in March 1971.
