These small streets and plots gave way to the Heygate Estate, which was completed in 1974 and was itself demolished in 2011–14 for Elephant Park. The outline therefore preserves an earlier, more finely divided neighbourhood. The sheet names St Matthew's Church, which was pulled down in 1992, together with Falmouth Chambers, a Board School, Elephant and Castle station and the South Eastern and Chatham Railway. Here the buildings around Chatteris Square were still standing, before the clearance shown in later coloured revisions. Those revisions also carry New Kent Road vacancy information dated March 1971. Outline plans served fire insurance assessment, giving footprints and plot divisions with less occupancy and risk detail than the coloured sheets, and they took pasted overlays recording changes of use, demolition and new construction. The printed base heading is dated June 1901, and the pasted revisions on this sheet carry no dates. A key plan acquired with the group records corrections to March 1971.
