Some Background information about the prints and the Illustrators
The prints in this work are of a superior quality, they are steel engravings and as such they are delicate in execution. These images show, in over 100 plates, the many picturesque scenes in Scotland, both rural and urban. The contrast between the highlands and the towns is shown well.
