Bayly, John

John Bayly (c.1730-?, fl. 1755-1794) was a London cartographer and engraver. Premises in St. Andrew Holborn (1755), Newington Green, Islington (1761), Old Fish Street (1766), Little St. Thomas the Apostle 1772-1779. Produced a several important maps including "The city guide or a pocket plan of London Westminster and Southwark with the new buildings" for Thomas and John Bowles (1761); "A new map of the kingdom of Ireland..." (1763); John Abraham Collet, "A compleat map of North-Carolina ...", (1770). Was apprenticed to Theophilus Spendelow.
