Becke, Archibald Frank

Major Archibald Franke Becke (1871-1947) was a British soldier (Royal Field Artillery) and noted military historian. His published works include Introduction to History of Tactics 1740-1905, and Waterloo and Napoleon; he contributed articles to the 1911 Encyclopaedia Britannica, and he compiled the maps of army operations for the Official History of the British Army during the First World War.
