Wren's library at Trinity, the Pepysian Library at Magdalene and the Gate of Honour at Caius are among the treasures in prints from Memorials of Cambridge, often seen from college gardens and meadows rather than the street. John Le Keux engraved the illustrations, with historical and descriptive accounts by Thomas Wright and the Reverend H. Longueville Jones, and Tilt & Bogue published the work in London in 1841–1842. Gateways, quadrangles, libraries and chapels follow the colleges, while parish churches, Castle Hill and the town's older religious sites reach beyond them. Some plates show earlier or proposed architectural arrangements.
