Strachey, Barbara Halpern

Barbara Halpern Strachey (1912-1999) was a British author. She had a particular interest in the works of J. R. R. Tolkien. For her book "The journeys of Frodo: an atlas of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings" she created a very detailed set of maps covering the route taken by Frodo and his companions in the books, based on the maps created by Tolkien and his son Christopher, and the clear descriptions of the route provided in the text. The atlas was published by Tolkien's own publishers, George Allen & Unwin.
