Issued in 1979 by the Polish Commission for the Investigation of Nazi Crimes, this map charts the extensive network of ghettos established throughout occupied Poland. Following the invasion of 1939, the Nazi regime created ghettos across German-controlled Eastern Europe to segregate and confine Jewish populations — and in some instances Romani communities — within sealed districts of towns and cities. These enclosed areas served as instruments of systematic isolation, economic exploitation, and forced labour mobilisation, and functioned as staging points for subsequent deportation to labour and extermination camps. The legend distinguishes between major (central) ghettos and smaller or temporary sites. The dense concentration within the territory of the General Government underscores the organised and deliberate confinement of Jewish communities prior to mass deportation and extermination. Occupation-era administrative boundaries situate the ghettos within the German-imposed regional structure.

Packing
Items smaller than A4 size are usually packed in a stiffened, board-backed envelope. Larger items are rolled and packed in postal tubes. Large items which are too stiff to be rolled in wide-diameter tubes are mailed in all-board envelopes. In the unlikely event of damage in transit, please send the affected item or items back to us and we will provide a replacement or refund.

Returns
We accept returns for any reason if sent back to us within 14 days of receipt of your order. If any of your items are not as described, we will provide a full refund including reasonable return postage costs upon safe return to us.
