[Henry Knollys Foster. Worcestershire. Batsman. Oxford cricketer] A Son of good Cricketer as well as a keen all-round sportsman, H.K. FOSTER Learned the rudiments of the game at Malvern, under the watchful eye of his father. In any case he did full credit to his early training by his excellent all-round record at Malvern College. At the head of the batting averages as well as high up in the bowling tables in 1892, his last year at school, he went up from Malvern to Oxford with a reputation as one of the best Public School players of the year. Still though he did not get his blue till last summer, he has fully justified his place in the Oxford Eleven by his consistently good cricket. His second innings of 121 for Oxford, in the recent Inter-University match, was a particularly fine display of batting. A good bat, he plays the game thoroughly, and as he is in addition an excellent field fair change bowler, he is bound to be a useful member of any side. He recently won the Amateur Championship at Racquets for the second year in succession
