'L'Itinéraire du Tour de France 1958 - But et Club - Le Miroir des Sports'
The 1958 Tour de France spanned 4,319 km across 24 stages, commencing in Belgium. Charly Gaul secured his first Tour victory, and the first Luxembourgian rider since 1928 to win the Tour, showing remarkable climbing skills and resilience in adverse weather conditions. After the 20th stage, Gaul was 16 minutes behind Géminiani; he won the 21st stage in the mountains and in adverse weather conditions by 8 minutes from the next rider, which positioned him to take the overall lead in the final time trial. Italian Vito Favero finished second, and Frenchman Raphaël Géminiani claimed third. The points classification was won by Jean Graczyk, and Federico Bahamontes excelled in the mountains classification. The 1958 race is remembered for Gaul's heroic performance in the mountains and his ability to overcome a challenging start to claim overall victory.
