'Key Plan — Parts of the Former Paddington Estate — To Be Sold — Coloured Pink'
The overview map for the Church Commissioners’ 1955 disposal of parts of the former Paddington Estate, marking in pink six separate property groups keyed to the detailed sale plans. It ranges from Kilburn Park Road and Paddington Green south to Hyde Park, and from Hereford Road through Porchester Square, Inverness Terrace and Lancaster Gate. Railway stations, principal roads and landmarks create a compact map of post-war west London; Porchester Hall is prominently identified as the place of sale. The pink parcels reveal how the freeholds were scattered across a mature urban district rather than forming one continuous estate. Issued for Daniel Smith, Oakley & Garrard and Hunt & Steward’s auctions of 18–19 May 1955. Offered with the original grey catalogue cover and preliminary/index leaves, preserving the title, vendors, auctioneers, sale dates and printed index to all six numbered plans.
