A series of maps from a detailed late Ottoman atlas issued in Istanbul in 1909, written by Mehmed Nâsırullah, compiled by Mehmed Rüşdî with the assistance of Mehmed Eşref. Prepared for educational use under Ministry of Education licence, they depict the empire’s vilayets across Greece, the Balkans, Anatolia, the Levant, and the Near East on the eve of the Balkan Wars and the Ottoman Empire’s final territorial contraction.
