Three parliamentary maps document Adpar beside Newcastle Emlyn. Robert Dawson’s 1832 Reform Act plan defines the borough and its relation to the Teifi, while two editions of Henry James’s 1868 Boundary Commission map record Adpar as a contributory borough of Cardigan. Together they provide a concentrated cartographic record of this small historic borough.
