The Cambridge University Almanack was issued annually from 1801 to 1882, combining a university calendar and list of officers with a large view of Cambridge. Its engraved views, especially those of 1801–55, form one of the great printed records of the colleges. We have a small selection of the scarce hand-coloured copperplate plates from the 1810s, drawn by John and Robert Burford and engraved by Samuel Sparrow — handsome architectural portraits of Cambridge at the height of the Regency period.
