Médoc châteaux and the vineyards of the Gironde fill these prints by P. Chaumas, the Bordeaux bookseller and publisher who issued the seventh edition of William Franck's treatise on the wines of the Médoc and Gironde in 1871, from his address on the Cours du Chapeau-Rouge. The lithographic plates show estates including Giscours, Cantemerle, Agassac and Cos d'Estournel, their captions naming owners and classifications. Maps set the Médoc and the white-wine districts against the 1855 classification, and another uses Théodore Duvotenay's 1869 departmental map of the Gironde.
