Europe in the age of Revolution and Napoleon is mapped in Elements of Geography, Walker's portable geography for British readers, published between 1795 and 1810. The compact engraved sheets show Germany, France and England and Wales, each country presented whole within the scale of a small book. Germany recurs at a time when the political map of central Europe was being transformed, and the French maps belong to the years after the Revolution and into the Napoleonic era.
