The collection centres on Robert Dawson’s 1832 Reform Act plan of Loughor and Henry James’s 1868 contributory-borough survey. Eighteenth-century road-strip maps by John Senex and Thomas Kitchin trace the London–St Davids route through the town, while an 1830 Ordnance Survey sheet sets Loughor within Gower, Swansea Bay and the Llwchwr estuary.
