Marchetti, Pietro Maria

Pietro Maria Marchetti (fl. 1565-1615) was an Italian printer who produced a pirated edition of the Ortelius Epitome pocket atlas, published as Il Theatro del Mondo di Abraamo Ortelio (Brescia, 1598). With one exception, the maps are copies of the Philip Galle plates, probably reproduced from the original Italian edition of 1593.
