The Battle of Britain, the Atlantic and the air war over Burma all appear in these prints from Royal Air Force 1939-1945, the official history by Denis Richards and Hilary St George Saunders published by HMSO in 1953–1954. Its maps and photographs cover air defence, bombing, maritime operations and campaigns in the Mediterranean and Southeast Asia. Radar coverage maps and diagrams of attacks on British airfields show the defences at home, campaign maps set aircraft among the movements of armies and fleets, and photographs show aircraft, damaged targets and operations.
