Edgar Dell's colour studies of the morrison feather-flower, the common flannel-flower and the blue leschenaultia fill these prints from West Australian Wild Flowers, a book that grew out of newspaper supplements. Each illustration is accompanied by a description from the Government Botanist, C. A. Gardner, and this seventh edition was wholly set up and printed in Perth by West Australian Newspapers Ltd. in 1950. Other plates show the moss-leaved heath, the subterranean orchid and the red-flowered gum, with careful attention to floral structure and seeds.
