World wide atlas

The World-Wide Atlas of Modern Geography, Political and Physical, published by W. & A.K. Johnston of Edinburgh and London and edited by J. Scott Keltie, was a widely respected reference work that went through multiple editions from the late 19th to the early 20th century. First issued in 1892, it offered 112 detailed coloured maps, designed to serve both educational and general reference needs. Nine further expanded editions followed through to a final edition 1921, which integrated the significant redrawing of global borders following the First World War. Each version of the atlas maintained Johnston’s high production standards and Keltie’s commitment to accurate, accessible geography.
