Official annex map defining the four Allied occupation zones established in Austria after the defeat of Nazi Germany. Prepared for the agreement adopted by the European Advisory Commission on 9 July 1945 and published in the British Treaty Series in 1946, it places Vorarlberg and Tirol under France; Salzburg and the part of Upper Austria south of the Danube under the United States; Carinthia, East Tirol and most of Styria under the United Kingdom; and Lower Austria, Burgenland and northern Upper Austria under the Soviet Union. Vienna appears as a separate jointly occupied area within the Soviet zone. Bold zonal outlines are laid over a pale 1:1,000,000 base map, with international, Reichsgau and occupation boundaries differentiated in the key. A primary cartographic document of the immediate post-war settlement, the plan records the territorial framework that governed Austria until the Allied withdrawal and restoration of full sovereignty in 1955.

Packing
Items smaller than A4 size are usually packed in a stiffened, board-backed envelope. Larger items are rolled and packed in postal tubes. Large items which are too stiff to be rolled in wide-diameter tubes are mailed in all-board envelopes. In the unlikely event of damage in transit, please send the affected item or items back to us and we will provide a replacement or refund.

Returns
We accept returns for any reason if sent back to us within 14 days of receipt of your order. If any of your items are not as described, we will provide a full refund including reasonable return postage costs upon safe return to us. If you have changed your mind, you are responsible for the cost of returning the item to us. We describe the size, age and condition of all our products as fully and accurately as possible.
