Highly evocative official plan of divided Vienna, annexed to the four-power agreement adopted on 9 July 1945 and published by HMSO in 1946. At 1:75,000, the map divides the capital between British, American, French and Soviet occupation sectors, with the Innere Stadt designated an international zone administered in rotation. The twenty-one pre-Nazi districts are numbered and keyed by name, while heavy lines, stippling and national labels clarify the sector boundaries. The surrounding detailed topographic base extends to Tulln, Klosterneuburg, Korneuburg and Schwechat and distinguishes Vienna’s outer boundary, Verwaltungsbezirk boundaries and inner municipal divisions; the assigned aerodromes and a flying-boat alighting area are also marked. More than an administrative diagram, this is the official political geography of post-war Vienna familiar from Graham Greene's "The Third Man": a city divided among the victorious Allies, yet functioning under a single inter-Allied authority until the occupation ended in 1955. An uncommon and historically resonant folding city plan.

Packing
Items smaller than A4 size are usually packed in a stiffened, board-backed envelope. Larger items are rolled and packed in postal tubes. Large items which are too stiff to be rolled in wide-diameter tubes are mailed in all-board envelopes. In the unlikely event of damage in transit, please send the affected item or items back to us and we will provide a replacement or refund.

Returns
We accept returns for any reason if sent back to us within 14 days of receipt of your order. If any of your items are not as described, we will provide a full refund including reasonable return postage costs upon safe return to us. If you have changed your mind, you are responsible for the cost of returning the item to us. We describe the size, age and condition of all our products as fully and accurately as possible.
