Steamer journeys and striking rock formations along the Norwegian coast fill these prints by Thomas George Bonney (1833–1923), the geologist and professor, engraved from his sketches for Richard Lovett's Norwegian Pictures, published by the Religious Tract Society in 1890. A boat putting out to a steamer and a deck passenger capture the everyday business of the voyage, while Torghatten and Hestmannøy show the mountains seen from the water. Uppsala Castle, catalogued under a misleading Norway prefix, is in fact Swedish.
